Creating excitement for and participation in the 2024 edition of Croucher Science Week, a free festival that brings science closer to the everyday lives of young people in Hong Kong.

Challenges

Croucher Science Week aims to make science education fun and accessible with in-person and online activities for all. A comprehensive strategy was needed to generate awareness about the return of the event and share exciting new festival highlights.

Approach

Developed a holistic communications strategy and compelling narrative to generate excitement and drive registrations across print, online, and social media channels, amplified by paid advertising campaigns to target both existing and potential fans and attendees. Built credibility and reputation through executive positioning and thought leadership.

Outcomes

  • Secured +40 pieces of coverage with a reach of over 63 million across print, online, and social platforms
  • Achieved 85% key message penetration to effectively differentiate the festival from previous years and maintained consistent messaging across coverage
  • Secured interview placements in top-tier print and broadcast media
  • Developed compelling social media content with above industry benchmark engagement that drove website traffic and generated event sign-ups
  • All events were fully-booked ahead of the Festival!
