World-leading audio and ‘acoustic excellence’ brand, KEF, is letting its customers experience sound the way it was always meant to be heard. The brand’s latest collaboration with designer Ross Lovegrove has resulted in the Mu7 – noise-cancelling wireless headphones that are just as good to look at as they are to listen to.

Internationally renowned for his innovative and sculptural designs, Lovegrove has created the Mu7 as a refined and stylish addition to the wider Ross Lovegrove Collection for KEF. He has previously worked with KEF to create the one-of-a-kind Muon loudspeaker, Muo portable speaker, and Mu3 true wireless earphones.

Combining exquisite craftsmanship and audio engineering, the Mu7 is available in two sleek colourways: Silver Grey and Charcoal Grey. The headband is lightweight and durable, providing a snug acoustic seal with minimal pressure on the ear. Memory foam ear pads mould to the shape of the head, improving both noise cancellation and bass response. A touchpad on the right earcup allows users to answer calls, skip songs and adjust volume through a series of simple taps and swipes. “*If you are wearing a particular type of headphones, they are an extension of you,” says designer Lovegrove. “Well, what is the best interface? Your finger. It’s like putting your hand over your ears, there’s this gestural elegance.”

Founded in 1961, KEF draws upon years of experience producing innovative and high-quality audio equipment every time the brand designs a new product. By focusing on the small details – the subtleties of sound – KEF preserves the integrity of a recording and presents a listening experience unlike any other.
