Inaugural edition of Uncorked Festival offers wine lovers the opportunity to explore and discover varietals from around the world, with exclusive and first-in-Hong Kong wine tastings alongside workshops, master classes and ‘Meet the Maker’ sessions.
Vivino, the world’s largest online wine marketplace and most downloaded wine app, is delighted to announce the inaugural edition of its Uncorked Festival by Pyjama Experiences. Pyjama Experiences has partnered with Vivino to bring Hong Kong wine lovers a unique tasting experience incorporating the Vivino community’s most loved wines from all across the globe at a unique festival taking place on 1 and 2 November at PMQ Courtyard, in Hong Kong’s Soho entertainment district. The line-up for this much-anticipated event for wine aficionados includes wine from around the globe, food concepts and live entertainment, transforming PMQ into a haven for seasoned Vivino customers and wine and food enthusiasts alike.
Tickets are available for purchase now, at HK$98 for a one-day pass and HK$158 for a two-day pass. Each pass includes five tasting portions (30ml servings) of select wines per day. Attendees can purchase additional wines in tasting portion sizes, by the glass (150ml servings), and by the bottle or case for home delivery through the Vivino app!
With over 65 million users globally, Vivino is a one-stop-shop for ratings, reviews, and recommendations straight from the community, making it a trusted marketplace that empowers its users to enjoy wine to the fullest. Following the success of Vivino’s first retail space in Singapore in August, and with over one million Hong Kong users making up Vivino’s loyal fanbase, this presents a prime opportunity to provide an elevated tasting experience in Hong Kong with a dedicated festival that highlights the best of what Vivino has to offer.
Exclusive tastings of premium and first-in-Hong Kong wines
At Uncorked Festival, attendees have the opportunity for an exclusive tasting of some of the world’s most favoured wines, available only in Hong Kong through Vivino, such as Baron Edmond de Rothschild Les Terres Blanches Montagne-Saint-Émilion 2018, and Fernlands Sauvignon Blanc 2023, both rated 4.3 on Vivino, along with Villa Degli Olmi Corte dei Rovi Prosecco N.V, rated 4.2 on Vivino, all available by the glass for the first time.
These three special wines, like others at the event, will offer attendees a taste of highly rated and recommended red, white, rosé, and sparkling vintages, rated 3.9 or higher out of 5 on Vivino’s app, ensuring a premium experience for all Festival attendees.
Opportunity to become immersed in Workshops, Masterclasses, and other public engagements
At the Festival, attendees have the opportunity to engage and learn with panel discussions between wine experts and wine lovers, and a Masterclass from Spanish wine group ARAEX titled “A Wine Journey Around Spain”. For fans of Bordeaux Reds – one of Vivino Hong Kong’s most popular wines – Commercial Director of Borderac Vins & Crus, Jon Reeves, is making the trip from France to Hong Kong and will be conducting a workshop on “Does Aging Bordeaux Wines Matter?” where he will showcase a selection of aged wines, and compare them to the latest vintages. Pre-registration for these sessions is essential and will open on 14 October at 9am. Stay tuned for the latest on public engagements at https://www.uncorkedhk.com.
