The Great Chefs of Hong Kong returns for its 27th edition

The Great Chefs of Hong Kong showcases over 50 of Hong Kong’s leading hotels and restaurants for a one-night-only fundraising event to support Heep Hong Society in empowering children and young people of diverse abilities.

The acclaimed charity event The Great Chefs of Hong Kong is back following a five-year hiatus, with its long-awaited return on Monday, 6 May 2024 at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Over 50 prominent chefs from some of the city’s top hotels and independent restaurants will join for this one-night-only culinary event that aims to raise funds for the Heep Hong Society. Celebrating its 60th anniversary, the not-for-profit organisation supports children and young people with diverse needs.

This exciting coming together of chefs showcases the incredible culinary diversity of Hong Kong, with guests able to enjoy signature dishes from some of the city’s most beloved and long-standing restaurants. Served alongside some of the best food in town is a broad selection of premium wine and other beverages.

The one-night-only event allows guests the chance to taste the best of the best from across the city, with Michelin-starred participants including Forum (3 stars), Octavium (2 stars), Feuille (1 star and 1 green star), Ming Court (1 star) and Vea (1 star).

Some of the exciting experiences on offer at the event include ALTO’s brilliant flavour combinations with the dish Scallop with Pickled Strawberry and Rhubarb, innovative plant-based cooking by Feuille’s Executive Chef Joris Rousseau who will personally present a dish inspired by nature which creatively combines crispy perilla leaf with mustard seed and sea grape, Mirage Chef Panzica’s Dan Dan Burrata, Chef Parkin of Sheraton Hotels and Resorts’ blend of Mediterranean and Thai cooking, and an incredible truffle cheese naan from Gaylord – a restaurant which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. For dessert, a traditional Paris-Brest presented by Grand Hyatt Hong Kong and the artful representation of the five elements by Chef Edwin Tang of The Mira are just some of the delights.
