IWG, the world’s largest provider of hybrid working solutions with brands including Spaces and Regus, has signed a management agreement for the first HQ brand in Guangdong Province to better accommodate the increasing demand for flexible working spaces in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
As one of the core engines of regional development in the GBA, Guangzhou is the perfect location for IWG Group to launch its first HQ Centre in the South China market; Panyu is located in the geographical centre of the area and has long been a popular choice for innovators and investors. The HQ Centre is located in the “In the Cloud” area of Panyu District, Guangzhou, with 2888 square metres of office space, club space, meeting rooms and telephone booths. It is well connected, with Guangzhou South Railway Station and Zhujiang New Town just 20 and 30 minutes away respectively.
According to IWG’s research, demand for hybrid working in the GBA has skyrocketed in recent years; flexibility of time and place are now key determinants for job seekers, with the majority (76%) being more likely to apply for job that offers flexible or hybrid working and more than half (51%) preferring flexible working arrangements over a 10% pay rise.
In line with the IWG’s philosophy of “flexible working to have a great day at work every day,” the HQ aims to create an affordable, cost-effective working space that is designed for productivity, works for everybody, and is simple to use. Everyone has the freedom to choose the plan that best suits them, such as getting an individual workspace, monthly membership, or Pay-as-You-Go service. Excitingly, the park is also stationed with a futuristic artificial intelligence-led service system, with delivery robots, security robots and cleaning robots on call to answer the community’s needs.
Mark Dixon, CEO and Founder of IWG, commented: “We are establishing a stronger and much-needed footprint in Guangdong with this latest opening. As an important business hub, Panyu is a fantastic place for us to boost our expansion plans. The need for high-quality flexible workspaces continues to soar as hybrid working becomes the new normal. We are very pleased to develop the HQ brand under a management agreement that will add a cutting-edge workspace to their building.”
IWG is the world’s leading provider of flexible workspace, with 3500 locations in more than 120 countries. Members are able to access all locations and business services via the IWG app.
